Cardiologist
So I went to the cardiologist’s today. My bloodwork isn’t back yet, but they put gel on my chest and imaged my heart anyway—it was actually really awesome, I could see the screen and watch my heart pump, but it was also incredibly dysphoric and also worrisome. After that I got to walk, then trot, then run on a treadmill while hooked up to an EKG—they took my heartrate at several intervals, but I had to keep running or trotting along or whatever. I don’t really know how to read an EKG except in the most rudimentary sense, so I’m not… really sure what the outcome of that one was.
I’m currently hooked up to a 24-hour heartrate monitor—or, uh. “Cardiac Event” monitor “With Holter Analysis.” Whatever a Holter Analysis is.
And uh.
Those little EKG sensors they stick to you? The round ones they clip the wires onto?
They itch after a few hours.
They get really, really itchy and you cannot take them off or scratch them (obviously.)
I’ve got about 15 hours to go with this thing, and then I can take it off and have a shower. I turn it in Monday morning. The results will take about a day to print, so on Tuesday I go in and we’ll go over things and discuss Important Decisions, like what kind of medications and/or medical options I need/have available/can afford.

Ugh, that’s pretty rough. Good luck with everything and I hope the options they offer will be within reach. :<
